About Oneworld Classics

Oneworld Classics is an independent publisher with offices in London (Richmond) and Oxford. Launched in 2007 by Juliet Mabey and Novin Doostdar (Oneworld Publications), and Elisabetta Minervini and Alessandro Gallenzi (Alma Books, and previously at Hesperus Press), its aim is to expand the literary canon in the English-speaking world through a series of mainstream and lesser-known classics, often by commissioning new translations.

With an emphasis on the production, editorial and typographical values of a book, Oneworld Classics aspires to redefine the whole reading experience in the field of classics.
